User Identities

Every time a user signs in using the hosted auth page, Anzu creates a new user identity or syncs an existing one for the selected provider.

User Identities are necessary in times of multiple social providers and authentication methods. With Anzu, users can choose their preferred auth provider from a list of providers you have enabled.

Primary and Secondary Identities

When a user completes authentication with a provider, Anzu checks if there already exists an identity with the same email or phone number. If this is the case, the user will be automagically signed in with their existing identity.

This ensures that your users do not have to think about which provider they used to sign up. In the background, Anzu links the newly-created secondary identity to the existing primary identity.
